Focus Your Mind to Achieve

sitting

Last night a very nice man stopped me while I was chatting with someone. He wanted to introduce himself and stated so with a very large smile. After the introduction he proceeded to strike-up conversations about up all sorts of things as if he’d been wanting to chat for awhile.

He brushed across the topic about having the desire to startup his own business all the while expressing doubts about his ability to do so. Clearly, the security of maintaining his full time employment was presently most beneficial and starting up a business was far too risky to his mind. When I advised he could do his startup part time, his eyes glistened at the possibility then he proceeded to explain why he wouldn’t be successful and  admitted he just wasn’t sure he could do it. The concern seemed to be what would he do if it didn’t work out and he wasn’t successful? So, I asked what would he do if he was successful and it did workout to which he smiled and pondered the idea for a really long time, his eyes joyfully glistened at the possibility.

It’s mindset.

It’s a shock to me how people are so quick to subscribe to a mentality of scarcity rather than abundance. When you believe there is plenty of prosperity in the universe for all to enjoy and that it is every human’s birthright to be prosperous, it becomes difficult to follow the logic of negativity. Cannot is replaced by can and ways to achieve so that one will be successful.

It’s a choice.

Over the next several weeks we’re putting together a series of sessions about starting your own business but first I think it’s beneficial for everyone to have a baseline of understanding about mindset and focus. The focus must be on achieving – not talking yourself out of success.

It’s lazy to accept the mantra of the day (I can’t achieve my dreams). I expect you to break out of the mold and challenge yourself to think differently, should you find yourself playing that program in your head over and over again stop and ask yourself why?  Were you born to fail and be miserable or were you born to wake up everyday, embrace life and live out every dream imaginable?

The answer is of course you are born to succeed.  It’s your human right and your choice.  Reprogram your thoughts.

Reprogramming is not easy but it’s necessary.

What you believe is what you achieve.

Period.

More on this topic later but let me leave you with this amazing video.  If you’ve not seen it you should.  It’s inspiring.  It’s liberating.  It’s powerful.  Would you wake up with a smile if you were born without arms and legs in a world that is driven by beauty and glamour where the focus of  your overall appearance can seem superior to the genius in your head, let alone be a motivational speaker?

Nick Vujicic is a wonderful example that anyone can achieve their dreams while spreading the mantra that all things are possible.

Would love to hear your thoughts after you have a chance to watch this amazing man.

You are the absolute best.  I truly believe that.  Embrace that as your focus and watch your world blossom as you achieve your dreams.

Smile and make it a fantastic day.
