There was a man producing and selling sweets nearby the coast. He realized if he wanted to develop his business, he must move to bigger store since the current one was too small for that purpose. He found the ideal shop, two streets next to his location. It was a very nice, large shop – perfect for planned vision of the future.
But, he had a few challenges.
He had to make a new business plan, for the larger scope of business activity.
He needed a larger crew of people which meant taking time to find qualified and knowledgeable staff.
He needed to put right man – at the right place.
He needed to decide who will be in charge of the marketing ( to follow the competitors; to inform current customers on social media, when to launch new products, change his prices…; to setup a new ad in the window of a store; to invent new design of sale stuff uniforms…)
He would need someone to manage the financial aspect of the business as well as someone who will procure the goods and materials for the new shop.
He needed to put flexible goals, to be patient. To encourage them to learn through the practice, to motivate them to improve their skills on a consistent basis.
Also he needed to decide who would continue to work on the same job position, versus who would need to be replaced in order to make the company more efficient for the company.
Launching new products and services could improve market position for the company, and increase the profitability was another focus.
Since he would oversee the operation in its entirety, he would need a strong leader, who will have control over the day to day business. He would need a person who will guide the workers to fulfill the business plan. If he needs some legaladvice he figured he could use assistance from out sourcing companies, always trying to get best advice, for the best price.
The leader has be brave enough to carry the company in successful future, believing to achieve that plan together with his team of workers. All that energy needed to get the company to the “promise land”, some times depends more from the intuition of the leader, then from his formal knowledge.
It would be a great deal to consider but well worth it to focus on this well in advance.
